Web Development & Design
Websites that load fast, rank well, and convert.
A website is often the first thing a potential customer sees — and a slow, clunky one costs you business before anyone reads a word. I build modern websites and web applications that load fast, work on every device, and are structured so search engines can actually find and rank them.
This isn't a drag-and-drop template with ten heavy plugins bolted on. It's clean, hand-built code with performance and SEO baked in from the start — the same engineering discipline I'd put into a custom application, applied to your public face on the web.
What's included
- Responsive design that looks right from phone to desktop
- Performance-first builds — optimised images, lazy loading, and passing Core Web Vitals
- Technical SEO foundations: semantic markup, metadata, structured data, sitemaps
- Accessible markup that works with keyboards and screen readers
- CMS or headless content integration when you need to edit content yourself
- Analytics and contact/lead capture wired up and working
How it works
- Discover. We agree on what the site needs to achieve — leads, sales, credibility — and who it's for, so every decision serves a goal.
- Design & build. I build the site mobile-first with performance budgets in mind, so it's fast by construction rather than 'optimised' as an afterthought.
- Optimise. I tune Core Web Vitals, image delivery, and on-page SEO, and validate the structured data before launch.
- Launch & support. I deploy, verify everything in production, and stay available for tweaks and ongoing improvements.
Typical tech stack
Go · PHP · HTML5 & modern CSS · TypeScript · Structured data (schema.org) · WebP / responsive images · Docker
Who it's for
- Your current site is slow, dated, or doesn't work properly on mobile.
- You're invisible on Google and need the technical SEO done right.
- You want a fast marketing site or landing page without the bloat of a page builder.
- You need a web app — a portal, a booking system, an internal dashboard — not just brochure pages.
Frequently asked questions
Will my website be good for SEO?
Yes — technical SEO is built in: clean semantic HTML, fast load times, correct metadata and canonical tags, structured data, and an auto-generated sitemap. This very site is built the same way.
Do you use WordPress or a page builder?
Only if it's genuinely the right fit. By default I build lightweight, hand-coded sites that load far faster than a typical plugin-heavy WordPress install. If you need self-service content editing, I'll integrate a CMS that won't tank your performance.
Can you make my existing site faster?
Often, yes. A performance audit usually surfaces quick wins — oversized images, render-blocking scripts, missing caching — before any rebuild is even on the table.
Is the site mobile-friendly and accessible?
Every build is responsive and uses accessible, semantic markup so it works with keyboards and screen readers as well as looking right on any screen size.
